Vice President of Sales and Promotions

Mike Howenstine joined Kaulig Media in December of 2017. Mike leads the sales, marketing and promotion efforts throughout the Kaulig Companies brands which includes Kaulig Capital, Kaulig Racing, LeafFilter Gutter Protection, Leaf Home Safety Solutions, Ellsworth Advisors and Kaulig Giving.

With over thirty years of industry experience, twenty-two of which were with The Shamrock Companies, Mike specializes in crafting integrated marketing solutions designed to save clients time and money. Over the years, Mike has developed a diverse and robust skillset that allows him to comprehensively meet the needs of his clients by offering expertise in the following areas: direct mail marketing solutions, statement processing, print management, premium and promotional products, event marketing, creative services, digital marketing, warehousing and fulfillment services. Key to exceeding his customers’ expectations has been the skillful implementation of total project management.

Believing in the importance of community service, Mike volunteers at several charity organizations with an emphasis towards kids and young adults with disabilities and serving the homeless.

Mike earned a Bachelor of Science in marketing from Miami of Ohio.  He was active in the Lambda Chi Alpha Fraternity and intramural sports including Hockey, Soccer, Broomball, Softball and Flag Football.

Mike, along with his wife of twenty-six years, Theresa and their dog Riley reside in Independence, Ohio.  He is the proud father of Matthew a senior at the University of Notre Dame and Garrett, a freshman at The Ohio State University.  In his spare time, Mike enjoys outdoor activities, coaching youth sports and supporting Cleveland’s professional and amateur sports teams.
