The 2026 Kaulig Companies Championship concluded another memorable week of world-class golf, meaningful community impact and unforgettable experiences, bringing together the game’s legends, passionate fans, volunteers and partners for a celebration that extended far beyond the competition.
As one of the PGA TOUR Champions’ five major championships, the tournament has become known not only for showcasing the game’s greatest players, but also for its unwavering commitment to philanthropy and Northeast Ohio. Since Kaulig Companies became title sponsor in 2022, the championship has helped generate more than $8 million for local charities through the Northern Ohio Golf Charities Foundation, leaving a lasting impact on organizations and communities across the region.
“The Kaulig Companies Championship has always been about much more than golf,” said Matt Kaulig, founder and executive chairman of Kaulig Companies. “It’s about bringing people together, supporting our community and using the game as a platform to make a meaningful difference. We’re incredibly proud of what this championship has accomplished and the impact it has had throughout Northeast Ohio.”
One of the week’s signature events took place on Thursday, July 9, as golf icon John Daly was honored with the 2026 Ambassador of Golf Award during a special celebration at House Three Thirty. The award recognizes individuals whose contributions have positively shaped the game through sportsmanship, character and service.
The evening brought together community leaders, sponsors, tournament partners and golf enthusiasts to celebrate Daly’s remarkable career. A two-time major champion and one of golf’s most recognizable personalities, Daly was recognized not only for his accomplishments on the course, but also for the authenticity, generosity and passion that have made him one of the sport’s most beloved figures.
Throughout tournament week, fans experienced elite competition while enjoying a full schedule of events that reflected the championship’s commitment to hospitality, community engagement and charitable giving.
That legacy will endure long after the final putt. The relationships built, the charitable impact created and the countless memories shared throughout tournament week stand as a testament to what can be accomplished when a community rallies around a common purpose.
